Sixth Form Absence
The Government have made it compulsory for all young people to remain in education or training until their 18th birthday. Sixth Formers are expected to attend all timetabled lessons, tutor periods and assemblies. At Wootton Park School we take pride in our high level of attendance. Missing school can be detrimental to your education and progress, whereas excellent attendance and punctuality gives you the very best chance of success. Where possible, every attempt should be made to arrange appointments and meetings around your timetable so that you do not miss any lessons. In the rare occasion where this is not possible, it is vital that you complete the form below prior to the absence so that your request can be considered. If you have any evidence (such as an appointment card), please attach it to this form.
If a Sixth Former fails to follow the school absence procedures, or they become persistently absent from school, it could lead to their position within Wootton Park School Sixth Form being reviewed by the Principal.
