PE and School Sport Premium
The government in England is providing additional and substantial, ring-fenced funding to provide support to primary PE and school sport. This funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport, and will see money going directly to primary school to spend on improving the quality of physical education and sport for all their children.
It is our aim at Wootton Park School to provide the opportunity for our learners to safely experience a range of sporting activities for fun and enjoyment. Through carefully planned PE and sports activities, we aim to ensure that all learners are happy and enjoy PE.
We aim to encourage the love of sports throughout our PE and help the learners develop a passion for chosen sports and encourage them to develop this further outside of school. We strive to provide high quality PE and sports teaching in both curriculum and after school clubs.
We aim to ensure that within their own level of ability all learners can achieve and experience success, thereby enabling them to reach their full potential.
We value the benefits of PE and sport to build children’s self-confidence, esteem and self-worth, which is character building and essential for our pupils’ development. We aim to provide opportunities for all children to experience competition at various levels both individually and as part of a team through healthy competitive games held with other local schools.
