Nursery Consultation
Proposed nursery at Wootton Park – share your views
We are delighted to share that Wootton Park School has been successful in securing capital grant funding from West Northamptonshire Council to establish a new nursery provision on our Wootton Hall Park site.
This supports the Council’s statutory duty to provide sufficient childcare places in the area. Before we finalise our plans, we are seeking feedback from our community and wider stakeholders.
The consultation period will run from noon on Thursday 7th May 2026 to noon on Thursday 28th May 2026.
The proposal
Wootton Park School is an Outstanding 4–19 school. From January 2027, we intend to open a nursery on our site to support the need for early years places in West Northamptonshire.
Features of our proposal include:
- 30 new early years places: 10 places for 2-year-olds and 20 places for 3 and 4-year olds
- Based at Wootton Hall Park, Northampton NN4 0HZ, alongside our existing school
- A high-quality outdoor environment and equipment to support strong early years provision
- Funded early education and childcare places (alongside paid-for places), in line with national entitlements
- Opening hours designed around the needs of working families – we welcome feedback from parents and carers on what would work best
