NEW NURSERY PLANNED TO OPEN IN JANUARY 2027
We are delighted to announce that Wootton Park School plans to open a new nursery at our Wootton Hall Park site, NN4 0HZ, from January 2027, subject to final regulatory approvals.
Wootton Park Nursery will provide high-quality early years education and care for children aged 2-4, helping them grow in confidence, develop strong communication and early learning skills, and build firm foundations for future learning.
The nursery will be open 51 weeks per year, Monday to Friday, from 8.00am to 6.00pm, supporting local families who need flexible, reliable childcare throughout the year.
As part of Wootton Park School, children will benefit from the school’s established leadership, safeguarding systems and early years expertise. Wootton Park School has been designated by the Department for Education as a RISE Reception Network Lead School for the East Midlands, recognising the school’s sustained strengths in early years provision and leadership.
This means our nursery will be part of a school community with demonstrated expertise in supporting young children’s learning, development and transition into Reception.*

Meet Mrs Clough, Head of Nursery Provision
We are delighted to introduce Mrs Katherine Clough as our new Head of Nursery Provision.
Mrs Clough brings more than two decades of senior leadership experience in early years and primary education. She has served as a primary school Headteacher since 2006 and has successfully established and grown a school-based nursery for children aged 2-4.
She has a genuine passion for early years education and a strong belief that children thrive when they feel safe, known and supported from the very beginning of their learning journey.
Mrs Clough is excited to bring her experience, enthusiasm and expertise to Wootton Park Nursery as we prepare to welcome our first children in January 2027.
Indoor and outdoor facilities
Wootton Park Nursery will be based within a dedicated, secure nursery provision on the Wootton Park School site.
The nursery provision will be adapted during summer 2026 to meet Early Years Foundation Stage requirements, creating safe, welcoming and purposeful spaces where children can learn, play and explore in all weathers.
Our nursery environment will be designed to support communication, confidence, independence, physical development and early learning through a balance of adult-led activities and child-led play.
The establishment of Wootton Park Nursery is supported by capital grant funding secured from West Northamptonshire Council to help provide more childcare places for local families.
Sessions, fees and funding entitlements
Wootton Park Nursery has been developed in response to clear local demand for nursery places, including funded places for two-year-olds and flexible childcare options for families.
The nursery will be open 51 weeks per year, Monday to Friday, from 8.00am to 6.00pm, with the following sessions:
- Morning 08.00am - 1.00pm
- Afternoon 1.00pm - 6.00pm
- All Day 08.00am - 6.00pm
