Coronavirus and education settings

We continue to monitor the situation regarding Coronavirus and education settings and follow the advice of Public Health England (PHE) and the Department for Education (DfE).

Updated Government guidance: issued on 12th March 2020

The government announced that anyone who shows certain symptoms should self-isolate for 7 days, regardless of whether they have travelled to affected areas. The symptoms are:

  • A high temperature (37.8 degrees and above)
  • A new, continuous cough

Please do contact us if your child/ren will not be at school due to self-isolation. You do not need to call NHS 111 to go into self-isolation. If you or your children's symptoms worsen during home isolation or are no better after 7 days contact NHS 111 online at 111.nhs.uk. If you have no internet access, you should call NHS 111. For a medical emergency dial 999.
