We are seeking to appoint inspirational support staff to join our talented team from September 2017.

Having opened with two Reception and four Year 7 classes in September 2016 at Wootton Hall Park, Wootton Park School will grow exponentially until it reaches its full capacity of 1,260 learners. We are looking to build our committed and passionate team in line with our growing school.

  • Finance Assistant (LGSS point 16-18, hours negotiable. Part time and full time considered)

Under the direction of the Business Manager, the Finance Assistant will assist with offering comprehensive financial support to the school by undertaking a range of administrative and clerical support functions. Further information is detailed in the Job Description and Person Specification. The successful candidate will have a good level of numeracy, literacy and ICT skills. Good communication skills are a must. You will be flexible in your work to accommodate daily experiences and be able to work as part of a team.

  • Well-being Coach (£22,000-£25,000, 37 hours per week)

We are seeking to appoint a Well-being Coach to work directly with the school community to improve their emotional health and well-being, whilst also working with learners, parents and stakeholders to improve their confidence and ability to give children and young people the support and direction they require to build resilience.

This role is an exciting new opportunity due to commence September 2017 and will support the SENCo and teaching team in providing inspirational learning support at Wootton Park School by: Working in conjunction with Senior Leaders to develop Wootton Park School’s well-being strategy, assisting teaching staff in the planning, review and delivery of the curriculum by supporting learners in whole classes, individually and in small groups.  By assisting in the health, safety, welfare, emotional and behavioural support of learners, developing and delivering a range of interventions to enable learner progress and increase, independence, self-esteem, confidence and well-being of learners.

  • Teaching and Learning Assistant (Scale D10 , 35 hours per week, term time only plus professional learning days)

The Learning Development Department aims to increase whole-school and community awareness of the importance of quality and equality of opportunity for all students, regardless of ability or disability. We believe that the circumstances and environment in which a child learns can have a direct influence on their success.

As our school grows, so too does the need for high quality teaching support staff. From September 2017, we wish to appoint to the post of Level 2 Teaching and Learning Assistant to work in our primary phase.  The position will focus on working with learners with a range of learning, social and emotional needs and will require the candidate to work with colleagues and learners in a variety of curriculum areas. The role will involve working within whole classes, with small groups and on a 1:1 basis to develop effective learning, promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being, and encourage independence.

The position requires enthusiasm, team work, motivation and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Suitable candidates will have experience of the school environment or of working with young people. An understanding of the varying needs of individuals would be an advantage.
